Catching up!

Today has been a day of seeing folk. I did cut out a few more squares before Bel was due to arrive. When she arrived she asked if I had to be in for deliveries but when I said no she asked if I would go to Missy with her as she wanted something new to wear for her 90th birthday in three weeks time. Her nephew and his family are coming over from Jersey to see her, which is great. When we got to Missy it was still closed so we went to Crafty Coffee for a drink. We also looked in the craft area and Bel saw a knitting pattern she was tempted by. We went back to Missy that was open and she had a good browse and ended up taking a pair of trousers and a top home to try. I went with her but didn’t see how they looked as she couldn’t get the trousers on and she said the top made her look like the side of a bus! I collected my medication on the way home and went to the cash machine which is still empty!
After lunch I set off to the sea front on the way to visiting Jean. I bumped in to Lesley while out and she asked if ai would like to go and look at the little cupboards she had offered me. I couldn’t go this afternoon but said I would go round early evening.

Had a lovely couple of hours with Jean and Terry, her husband made us our drink as usual. He also offered to give me a lift home which I accepted today. I phoned Lesley when I got home and arranged to go round and see the cupboards. When I got there one of the cupboards had been ruined getting wet  in the shed but the other one is really rather lovely so I carried it home.
I went out in the garden, was filling the watering cans but then decided to actually use the hose and water all the beds in the back garden. Then went out for a ride with Tina who had a couple of deliveries in Atwick and the estate in Hornsea..
We have done the shopping list and I have suddenly become very tired. My left hand was really bad last night and I was up trying to settle it down for a while. It had been going numb in the day yesterday. I decided to wear the wrist support all day today and the hand hasn’t been quite so bad today. Fingers crossed but that might cause more problems!
May get put in the garden tomorrow. Noticed a lot of weeds when I was watering.

  1. Seeing people and catching up is always good. A nice day to be out and about too. Sounds like Bel is in for a good 90th if family are travelling to see her. Definitely need a new outfit for that 😊
Fortuitous that you bumped into Lesley. The drawer unit is lovely, but I’m not sure you should have been carrying it home!
The dreaded hosepipe is out then. Dragging that around the garden is always fun, but easier than cans in the end. Hope you only watered the flowers and not the weeds 😊

    1. It was a nice day and made a change. I think the little drawer unit is delightful, something I would have chosen myself. It wasn’t too heavy but I was glad when I got it home!
There were weeds, will endeavour to remove some of those today!!
