After Ringtons had been I went to to the front garden for a while. No photos of what I did as it was removing the worst weeds and cutting stuff back that was hanging across the drive. The bin that was emptied on Tuesday is now full again! Did take a photo of the tamarix which will soon be at its best, and has a lovely amount of bloom.
The recycling bin was emptied today so a spent a bout half an hour breaking down a collection of massive boxes, that was the ultimate wrist challenge!
I went along the road to post a letter and great yarn bombing on the post box!
Got a bit of shopping on the way back, including there gorgeous crisps, well they are if you like seaweed!
After lunch I went out to turn the area where the pavers are going back and levelled it again and then carefully got the pavers back. In place, and they are fairly stable now!
I got another couple of rows attached to the patchwork and have decided on the layout for another four! Will have mad over a yard when they are attached!
I have started the second Shetland book by Ann Cleeves, really enjoyed the first one.
Will finish with a picture of the jigsaw that I completed yesterday evening. There is one piece missing if you look closely but Iam sure I will find it, I did knock the board once and had some bits on the floor.
You have been busy today. Glad you managed to sort things out for Margherita. I know how it would have been stressing Rose out. They’re very lucky to have you on the end of the phone.
ReplyDeleteThe tamarix looks good. You don’t usually have much luck with them as they tend to get snapped!
I love the post box. That must have taken ages to do. I really hope the oiks leave it alone.
The crisps don’t exactly look appetising, but I’ve had the seaweed ones before and they do taste nice. Healthy as well…ish.
From the way you’ve written it I’m guessing you humped the pavers around! You should have got Darren to do it.
Patchwork and puzzles too. You certainly do fill your days! I’ve done nothing!
Run out of energy and inclination now! Just as well tomorrow is visiting day! Rained last night so no need for watering, which is a blessing.
DeleteHow is Margherita I see she needed an op hope your ok and if you need to come down we can arrange to pick you up xx
ReplyDeleteThose crops look interesting it’s a few years since I had seaweed .
Garden is looking gorgeous I am trying to find someone to do the bottom of hours that isn’t going to charge the earth and still on the hunt for decorator - managed to get a decent carpet quote from bedroom all way down but be daft to do carpets before painting - sadly it wasn’t us on the Euro win .
