Walk and lunch at Fraisthorpe

I went out for a walk this morning and did go a bit further along the seafront. I took a photo from the usual spot as I passed.
I walked as far as the Moreau Road car park, so some different shots,

A couple more shots as I walked back.

Tina suggested going out to lunch and she took me to The Cowshed at Fraisthorpe. She had been there before and found it very good. We passed close to some wind turbines that I really like as they have a very graceful shape!
We enjoyed our lunch and walked down to look at the sea.

Then another one of a turbine as we had to stop at a passing point as it was a single track road up tot the beach.
You can see the graceful shape better on that one! I know, I am mad…….
Tina then took Australian for a drive to see some snowdrops that she had driven by a few days ago. They are not accessible but just at the side of some farm land but hundreds of them.
There was a star angle orange glow on the horizon but it was too early for sunset so we stopped at Lissett hoping I could get a shot of the airmen white the glow behind, but it really didn’t work. Like the photo anyway!

We watched a Bargain Hunt when we got home, then I walked over to Countdown to get and adapter and bulb for the lamp so that I could test it. It works well and will be very useful.
I was up at 5.30 am this morning so beginning to feel weary now, have managed the step target though!

  1. Some really nice pics today. I really like the first one. You do have some really nice scenery close by. You’re very lucky. The view down the steps is another favourite.
The Cowshed doesn’t really sound like somewhere for tasty food. After speaking to you earlier though the food actually sounded really nice. More really nice pics to the bargain.
I like wind turbines too. Not sure I’d want to live to close though as they can be a bit noisy. Well I suppose it’s the wind more than the turbine.
Took me a minute to work out the pic of the airmen behind the sign. When I first looked I thought it was a gaggle monks coming down the path 😄
It has been a long day, but a nice one, so I’m not surprised you’re a bit weary. Hopefully you’ll manage something better than 5.30am tomorrow!

    1. It has been a good day, a reasonable walk for to start with and then a nice trip out. No, the Cowshed doesn’t sound too inviting, the take away area is called the Calf Shed!
      Yawning well now!
