I spent the morning sewing the twelve blocks together and getting them pressed. It was confusing I kept thinking I was assembling it wrongly, but it went together pretty well.
The weather was reasonable and I didn’t get out walking much last week so decided to walk up to Freeport and catch the bus home. Setting out the cloud started to roll in but it did brighten a bit for a while.
Although there are plenty of twigs and general debris about these crocuses on the way towards Polly’s Path we’re looking pretty.
Polly’s Path was pretty muddy so I took it very steadily.
I got a couple of bits in Pound Stretcher then had a coffee before getting the bus home. Did I buy a book in The Works which I will mention tomorrow. Waiting for the buts and the clouds were rolling in!
This afternoon when I got back I started assembling the two third blocks for the table cover. Had done the majority when this strip told me it was time for a break!
Did unpick it and sew it correctly and carried on until the first sets of three were all sewn.
Have been to see Sarah and David this evening as I took a test this morning and it was negative.
Not planning to do much after the blog is done, feeling quite weary.
Nearly forgot the last picture, Rachel sent me this earlier, so cute.
Another full day for you. You’ve fitted a fair bit into your day, unlike me!
ReplyDeleteI think the combination of the patterns on the quilting look really nice. Getting the occasional one upside down is to be expected. None of us are perfect, although I come pretty close 😊 A bit of unpicking stitches every now and then breaks up the time.
Polly’s Path does look a mess. Not as nice as it normally looks in your pics. At least you managed a bit of exercise today, certainly don’t blame you for bussing back though.
Not surprised you’re feeling weary. Have a Lemoncello and put your feet up 😊
It has seemed like a full day, reasonably productive too and not too much unpicking!
