Varied day and quilt completed!

This morning Darren took me along to the boot sale as they started again today. Very quiet there and the two cafes at the field were closed so we made our way to the cafe at the market. Haven’t taken a photo of the pond for a while!
We both saw things we may have been tempted with but by the time we got back from having our breakfast sandwich they had both been sold!
When we got home I prepared some veggies for casseroles and then took a walk down the road to see what the local market that had been organised looked like. It was only just setting up. But there was going to be a licensed area and a children’s  fairground.

I did a bit of the edging on the quilt and then walked to the Floral Hall as there was a park Antique and Collectors fair on. Really bright day although the wind was bitter.
The only thing I bought was an old game which looks interesting.
I did a bit more hand sewing on the quilt when I got back, then after getting and eating dinner I finished it off and have pressed the quilt.
Pleased with it and pleased to have it completed at last!

Have just filled in a DBS application as I may be volunteering as a family group.
The Throw Down and Trigger Point tonight, so a tv end to the day. I am actually listening to Ricky Nelson at the moment!

  1. Glad you made it to the first boot sale of the year. Shame you both missed out on items you fancied, but you have to get in early not to miss out.
The market looks as though it’ll be good. How long is it there for, more than just today I assume?
It looks lovely at the beach in the pic. Almost summer like, apart from everyone wearing winter coats 😊
A market and a collectors fair for Hornsea all in one day, you are honoured. You have to organise a household sit down to try out the new game. Don’t think I’ve ever seen it. Mind you I’ve never been one for playing games.
The quilt looks great now it’s finished. Well worth the effort that’s gone into it. Bet you’re really pleased to finally get it done. Onto the next sewing project now!
    Enjoy your viewing.

  2. Not sure about the market, it was both days at the weekend. Maybe one weekend a month.
I hadn't seen the game before either.
I am glad the quilt is finished. No plans for anything else at the moment. 9
