Charging point hunt!

Tina’s day off and we did go out for a bit leaving Darren and promising to bring McDonalds back for him! We went to Lidl but called into a Costa first as Tina hadn’t had breakfast. She had a small cup of coffee!

The Lidl is next door but she was good and we parked by Costa and then went to Lidl where there is a charging point. Sadly, because we didn’t go straight there someone else was at the point and was going to be an hour! We did some shopping in Lidl, I got a great scrapbook rally cheap and they had the Limoncino that I used to buy years ago, back in the Peterborough days!
We then went to a Tesco that had charging points but they were in use or non electric cars were parked in the spaces! So then a few more miles to a Morrisons and the same scenario! So we collected some food and came home. After lunch I went down with Tina to the leisure centre where she did get the car on charge and we picked up some gym membership forms for Darren. We walked home. We did look at the sea.

We watched the curling and our boys got into the final, good that we will get at least one medal at the Winter Olympics. After that I did do some more cutting, about another fifty squares and then my legs were really aching and had stiffened up, so when Tina said she was going down to collect the car I said I would walk down with her. That loosened them up a bit. There were about seven ships on the horizon, which was very unusual, we wondered if they were queuing to get into Hull ahead of the impending storm.
After tea I did a bit more cutting but that is it for today. Probably do another few sessions of cutting tomorrow as the weather is due to be pretty awful.

  1. I had one of those cups in Costa once, took me ages to drink. I’m not as hardened to them as the Rev 😊
Not sure if I ever tried the Lemon drink, but it does look nice in that bottle! May have to try some one day.
I think she’ll have to invest in a home charging point, but that’ll spoil your little hunting trips then, and they’re a good excuse for a bucket of coffee! At least you remembered Darren’s McDonalds. He’ll have to get better soon if he’s going to join a gym.
Don’t somehow think the sea will look like that tomorrow, but you might be lucky. I think it’ll definitely be a day that will be better spent indoors. Good job you have plenty to keep you occupied.

  2. The drive around on the harger hunt was interesting and good to check out the offers in Lidl.
I am sure the sea will be pretty rough tomorrow but I don't think I will be seeing it! The drink is stronger than I remember but very good.
