Garden centre and garden

I caught the bus to Sigglesthorne to go to the garden centre this morning. A couple of months ago I got a pair f garden shoes, like Crocs, but no holes and comfortably wide enough for me, so I have been meaning to go again and get another pair while they still have them. I ended up getting bulbs, just four, agapanthus plants. Big and showy and I thought they would make a good display. Also bought a house for the fairy garden and a crossword a day puzzle block tha was 75% off in the sale! I did get the shoes as well!
Took this photo while I was waiting for the bus home.
I checked what position agapanthus like and it is full sun and plenty of it. That made me decide to tidy up the bed where I have had the gladioli for the last three years. They didn’t do so well last year so I had thought I needed to lift them. They don’t need to be planted until March but I though I would go out and start getting it ready.
The Angels Wings, the plant with the pale leaves, had become unruly so I dug it up but thought I would try and root the stems, I have managed to root some before. Some digging and hoeing and I got the grass trimmer out as well, amazingly it had a bit of battery power left! A good start and another cart of weeded etc in the garden bin!
I had some rooting crystals so have put the cuttings in one of the planters I bought a while ago.
A nice sky again this evening so will finish with them. The middle one was take from inside the greenhouse was was through glass and netting!

  1. Ah bulbs, you’ve not bought any of those for a while 😊 I love the fairy house, I think it’s brilliant. The crossword a day will keep your mind active as well. Not that it’s necessary as you manage to keep it quite active already with all the different things you do.
I like the pic from the bus shelter. The structure frames it nicely. Shame about the power lines, they always spoil things! Anything run into that railing lately?
The results of your bit of gardening today look good. If you just had a small section of that huge garden it would be so much easier for you.
Lovely sky again tonight. The one through the glass and netting is unusual but nice. I’d crop it top and bottom and make a panoramic.
Enjoy the rest of your evening.

    1. Just four bulbs and they should be spectacular!
I will enjoy the crossword block and I think the fairy house is adorable.
That railing has stayed in tact for a while now!
