Lovely and colourful Hull

This morning I caught the 10 o’clock bus into Hull but before that I went down the road to buy some batting for the table cover.  The lady in front of me d kept going off and buying more things so I then had to rush to get home and sorted in time for the bus. My main reason for going in was to hunt out some number stickers for Tina but I decided that I would have a walk to the funky bridge that I went very at some point last year. I went via Smiths as the post office is there and I had a card to post that was too big for the postbox on the station! Walking through Smith’s I spotted some nice jigsaws and thought I may call back later and see if the ones I liked were still there rather than carry them about all day. A lot of photos to follow, I walked over the bridge and then detoured to another bridge and ended u outside The Deep. Saw some nice graffiti so an interesting walk although my legs were really rebelling! Will let the pics speak for themselves now.

The bridge is in the far distance on this one!

Loved this sign!
I made my way back into the city and first stop the loos and then a place to sit down with a snack that wasn’t heaving! Half term and it was busy. Had to wait. While for my snack but that suited me fine as my legs were really aching. Then I went to Ryman’s where I got some stickers for Tina and back to
Smiths where I bought the jigsaws.
It was getting on for 5pm by the time I got home so quite a long day and a fair bit of walking by my standards. No plans for this evening except trying to stay awake until bed time!

  1. Well that was a very exercise use heavy day. A lot of steps! There was me thinking you were going to take it easy today and have a break from the quilting. Mind you, walking umpteen thousand steps is maybe your idea of taking it easy 😊
You have some really great pics. It looks like it was a nice day for a bit of photography. They really do have some great stuff in Hull. That footbridge is a nice bit of sculpture as well as a useful item. You really must have walked miles!
The Deep is a great place, I remember going to it many many years ago.
I like the pics of the graffiti artwork. It’s always so colourful and makes for a great subject.
The two puzzles look a little easier than the last one you did. You might actually enjoy doing those 😊
Hopefully all the exercise will help you sleep well tonight. You never know.
Maybe an easy day tomorrow….or the day after?

  2. I do like Hull, annoys me when people are rude about it, they obviously haven’t taken a good look! The weather was kind although it was very windy!
I love the bridge, very pleasing to look at and ramps so that you don’t have to negotiate loads of steps!
