Kite Flying Day and Opera day!

Now there’s a combination, we had plenty of wind today but too much for kite flying along with the occasional sleet and snow flurries! I have never really got into opera, although there are a couple of songs that I really like.

For us today not a lot of snow about to start with, the front looked slightly whiter than the back.

I got cat trapped again for a while this morning, this time properly on my lap and we had a little more snow which I saw when Pandora decided she had sat with me long enough!

Tina had to travel to a funeral this morning, not a nice journey and the snow was much heavier there!

I went along to the local shop, used the biker scarf which worked quite well, my glasses still steamed up but not quite so badly. The scarf did make my neck itch a bit but I hadn’t washed it, so have now to see if that helps. It snowed a bit on my way back, but as yu can see it wasn’t settling.

Away from the weather I finished off the coasters. Even the line of stitching round the edge immediately made them flatter and then the quilting made them quite firm.the stitching didn’t take nearly as long as having to lose 32 threads out of sight! My hands are really aching tonight, I think all the close fiddly work is aggravating the arthritis. Haven’t got many bits that don’t ache these days!

Lovely clouds when I went to put the fox food out.

I used the spray fabric glue I bought to wedge the table runner I made to the wadding and backing material then started to do some free motion quilting. When I changed the thread, which was a different colour but it didn’t matter as it is a practice piece really, it wasn’t stitching correctly so packed it away for today.

Bit of viewing now I think!
