What a difference a few hours can make!

A damp and rather miserable morning but we decided to go and see if anything was happening at the boot sale as there won’t be any more for a while now. There were no stalls set up so we came home for a bit and then went to the cafe on the front for breakfast. We had gone out at 7.30 am and the cafe doesn’t open until 8.30 am. The sea was grey and the wind was really cold, I wore my new hat which didn’t feel in danger of blowing away.

I did a little more colouring and packed up a package as I managed to sell some palette knives on eBay. Did a bit of pedalling as well, have been doing quite a bit and manage about twenty minutes quite regularly now. I watched the beginning of the Grand Prix and then had a slow walk down to the post office as the local one is open to take in parcels over the weekend. Then I walked up to the front and it could have been a different day!

I didn’t stop and have a drink but did have a short sit drink a rest and another one in the memorial gardens! The little gift shop was open today so I popped in and they had this new range of glasses on pieces of wood. All the glasses were moulded to fit the wood but they lift off. I just got a small one, it is fabulous. Good job they are having to close again on Wednesday! Not of course for them but better for my pocket!

I had a set of those little lights, perfect!
Cooked dinner this afternoon and gave the cakes their last feed. May not have been fed quite as much as previous years but ai have a tighter time frame this year. They are lovely and dark though so should be fine.
Just watched Strictly results and will watch Roadkill in a bit.

  1. Shame the boot sale was a washout, but breakfast on the front is always a good, no matter what the weather is like. The difference in the two sets of pics is amazing. You’d never guess they were the same day, or same season come to that!
I really like the glass you bought. Such a clever idea to heat it and mould it to the wood. Reminds me of the time when they started stretching the necks of bottles and filling them with coloured liquids. Used to see them as prizes at the fair or at the seaside. Ahhhh the good old days 😊
I’m sure the cakes are going to taste delicious, assuming we’re allowed out so they can get to there allotted recipients. People will definitely be after Boris if that’s the case!

  2. Not too bad a day really, I have to steel myself when asking anywhere but it often loosens the knees up a bit. But I am pleased when I have made the effort so it turns out being a good thing, usually!
I think the glass is lovely, I don’t have the main light on this evening so that I can appreciate it.
