This morning I went up to Freeport with Darren. The only shop open was Pound Stretcher. Managed to walk to the shop from the car park and round the store. We had to wait for quite a while at the checkout and it was then that I really began to feel quite poorly, haven’t really picked up since, so have had several sessions on the recliner chair and used the cold wheat bag thing. Two new ones turned up today so now I can do the icing more regularly, keeping two downstairs in the freezer and one up here in my little freezer compartment.
The new colouring book also arrived, it is floral initial letters. They are quite small and would lend themselves to individual cards which is good,
Judi, one of Tina’s parishioners called by and left a card and some sweets form me. Very nice they are too.
Steve was here most of the morning and back in the afternoon helping Tina get lights put up in the front garden and getting the nativity set displayed in a crib that he has made. Will try and get a photo of that tomorrow. This evening the lights went on at 6.30pm. This would have been lights night, a very big event in the Hornsea calendar but had obviously been cancelled this year. Also the town council decided they weren’t putting the lights up at all this year so a lot of people have put lights near their own properties. Tried to take a couple of pics with the phone, one when downstairs and one out of the window up here. Neither very good but you get the idea!
Hoping to feel a bit brighter tomorrow!
Maybe tonight will be a good sleep night. Really sounds like you could do with it ☹️ Standing around in the shop hasn’t helped you much. It was nice to get out but maybe you’ve done a bit too much the past couple of days.
ReplyDeleteOn a brighter note I think your efforts of doing the shading have turned out really well. I particularly like the word Peace. The colours make the shading jump out. The new book looks good. Definitely think you’ll be making cards with some of those.
Shame Hornsea isn’t getting the normal street lights this year but judging how the community come together with other local events I’m guessing it’ll look ok. At least the vicarage has lots of lights.
Really hope you get a good night tonight. 🤞🏻
I won’t be late to bed, going to try the bed again not the chair tonight.
DeletePleased with the shading but it takes an age!
Probably won’t do too much walking tomorrow unless I wake up full of beans!
Although there is plenty on in fighting in the town, there is a strong community spirit which overrides it when it matters!
