This morning I started off feeling rather negative, my non operation knee had been playing up and was quite painful when I was up and about. But took painkillers and it has eased during the day. I went into the front garden and did a couple f sessions working on the main bed with the sign in. Hoed some weeds, dug bigger ones out but then usually uproot bulbs! Also cut back some dead plants and even managed to get a few extra bulbs planted!
My friend Sarah is not too well at the moment, not much I can do to help out as I am restricted to the house and garden for now, so decided to make cheese scones, some for us and some for Sarah and David.
I sent for a pastel colours sketch pad and have had one more attempt at the portrait. Like this one best but still not really happy with it. Not trying this ne again but will try another subject.
Holby is back on the television night, so looking forward to that.
I’m really surprised you’ve not made a cat bed that fits onto the chair so she’s more comfortable. You wouldn’t be as you’d be forced forward even more, but it’s the sort of thing you’d do 😊
ReplyDeleteGlad you didn’t go too mad in the garden. That bed does look nice though, in fact it didn’t look bad before you started on it. More maintenance now than anything else, plus keeping the bulb population in check! All the hard work in the past is paying off, and hopefully it won’t revert back while you’re incapacitated.
The scones look good. I could eat a couple now cut in half and layered in butter!
I have to agree. That one is the best of the three, but the others weren’t half as bad as you make out 😊 🧑🎨 🖼
She is on the back of the chair again now, almost a permanent feature in the evenings now!
ReplyDeleteA better day, I am in a better frame of mind when I have achieved something!
Writing a couple of letters now,
