Odd sounding yoghurt!

This morning I went into the garden for a while and did some more cutting back. Have filled the garden bin now and put some more debris in the composter frame. I had cut down the remaining sunflowers yesterday and today I tied the heads onto string and have hung them in one of the trees, last year I tried to balance a large one in the branches but it soon fell out!
Tina had recorded a program about Sammy Davis Jnr for me last week and I decided to watch it today. Hadn’t realised it was nearly two hours long so did some pedalling and wrote a letter while I watched it. Very interesting, I have always liked him but didn’t have any idea how difficult a life he had, and how involved he had been in the civil rights movement.
After lunch Tina walked down the road with me, we went into the gift shop and Tina bought a few bits. I went on down the road to post the letter and went to the shop I hadn’t tried to see if they had any marzipan. They didn’t! Got some very unusual sounding yoghurt thought...
Tina’s face when she read the label was a picture! I have tried it now and it is quite tasty, not at all sweet but quite creamy. I then called in the Coop again, I cleared the she of marzipan the other day but they had put more out, so think I have enough for the cakes now,
This afternoon I decided to make a card for a friend who’s birthday is this month. I had a notebook that I keep quotes on now and the other day I found one about November which I really liked. A reason to use the leaf stamps again too!
Paul arrived to measure up for the stair rails and also looked at the gate and took measurements to get that repaired. Very friendly guy, he will price it all up tomorrow and let us know, will probably be able to get the work done some time next week.
Darren had suggested that we go down to the front for fish and chips before lockdown, was dark by the time we got there so no pictures of the sea but one of Darren ordering!!
That little shop does great fish and chips and they do a pensioners one so that I wasn’t being too naughty! A good system too with no people actually entering the shop.
Had a text from the hospital saying I am still expected to arrive for my appointment, so far so good!

  1. Another varied but productive day then. Bet the sunflower heads won’t last long with all the varied wildlife you have in that garden. I think you probably have the best fed wildlife for miles around!
Two hours watching a film during the day, perfect 😊 Plus you still found time for other stuff too. Wish I could organise my days like you seem to.
The yoghurt definitely is different. I’d have give it a go too. Might look out for that. Do the do orange, brussel sprout and kiwi? 😊 Glad to hear you got all the marzipan for the cakes. Not bothered if you can’t get icing! You’ll be glad to see the back of them.
It’s just occurred to me that you had spindles missing from the stairs when you moved in and they were going to get them replaced for you. Did they not get done, or are these different ones?
I thought fish and chip shops could stay open during lockdown, aren’t they classed as takeaways?
Fingers crossed for the hospital 🤞🏻

  2. I think you are right about the fish and chip shops, but Darren just thought it would be nice for the three of us to go together, and there is the fact that I may be isolating from
Thursday. They did get the spindle right in the end, slightly different colour but they have blended in okay.
That was the only odd yoghurt there today but I will keep looking, that’s when I am allowed to go to shops again!!
