Taking it easy and being waited on!

I managed to get on and off the bed safely during the night, and get some sleep although changing position proved a challenge. Pandora spent the whole night on the bed and both cats have spent a lot of the day in the same room as me. I had a shower this morning which was lovely as it was the first time I have used my own toiletries in over a week. The dressing is waterproof and I took the compression stockings off. Tina helped me get a clean pair on as they are really tight! First picture today is of the sunrise, an amazing photo by Lunny.
I spent the day down in the dining room, which was just as well as Tina was out quite a bit and the visitors made it a bit like Piccadilly Circus! That was my walking exercise for today. Sarah andDavid arrived when Tina was in and they bought me some hyacinths much to Tina’s dismay, they were pink as well! Later on in the day Lunny bought me some hyacinths too!

I spent a lot of the day colouring another one of the initial letters, quite a complex one and I am pleased with the result.
A delivery came for the three of us, no card or message but wi presume from the American arm of the family, something for me to do another day!
I made an appointment to get my dressing removed and the wound checked next week. Not so much success with ordering more painkillers, will try to talk to a doctor tomorrow. Have done some exercises,

  1. That’s a smashing sunrise. You’ll be able to get out and about before too long, so a nice early start and you can get some too.
Sounds like you’re managing the leg quite well. Hopefully it’ll all get a bit easier day by day. At least you have Tina there to help you with things. Although she might not want to much more if you get any more hyacinths 😊 Bet it’ll smell great in there. I love the smell of them.
Glad you’ve been occupied a lot of the day. I’m sure you’ll find plenty to do while you’re recovering. Looks like you’ll be building a gingerbread house at some point!
Hope you get the painkillers sorted out as I would say they’re pretty much essential at the minute.
    Take it easy.

  2. Been a pretty good day, I will hopefully continue to keep occupied and not get bored. I have ordered some different initial letter colouring books, one should come tomorrow.
The leg hasn’t been too bad today so fingers crossed it will keep improving.
