Fighting the nerves!

Today I woke up feeling anxious and have been fighting it off most of the day. Did take my blood pressure a couple of times and higher but not off the scale, so fingers crossed. I fed the birds early as usual and a bit later took a bucket of warm water out and cleaned the bird baths as they were getting very green! It had been frosty over night but I was surprised to find them iced up!
So, I have pottered about, moved my furniture around a bit to make more space for when I am using sticks or crutches.
Sorted out some Christmas ribbons etc, can do wrapping when ai am home next week.
This evening Tina went to the Sea Front Chippy to get us fish and chips, we love that little place and for a small business they have done really well. You order and collect outside the shop but now they have invested in pagers so she could sit in the car and wait!
I had a phone call from the hospital, I can now eat until 4.30 am and drink water until 8.30am so won’t have to try and have lots of water before we leave as we I still have to be there by 7am. So presuming I am second on the list now, or maybe third, who knows?
I will have to be up soon after five I think as I will need to have the final medicated shower before we leave..
Not sure when the next entry will be, so cheerio for now.
How cool is that?

  1. I think anyone would be anxious about going into hospital for an operation. Plus all this COVID business make it even worse. You’ll be pleased you went through with it all though when you get home to recuperate, and more so when you can be a bit more mobile with your bionic implants 😊 Fish and chips is a perfect choice for your tonight as I doubt you’ll be fancying much to eat at silly o’clock in the morning! Hopefully hospital food is a bit better these days as I’m sure you’ll be ready for a decent meal later in the day. Great little system the chippy has. Pagers are a great idea, and much better than standing in the cold.
Hope you’ve left instructions for feeding the garden menagerie while your away otherwise they’ll miss all the stuff you put out. At least you won’t have to go out there and de-ice things.
Hope all goes well for you and you’re home before too long. I’ll be looking out for the next entry.
    Au revoir.
    That’s cool too 😎

  2. Very cool!
This time tomorrow I will have been up for a walk on the new knee I imagine, no hanging about allowed!
I don’t think we are expecting a frost tonight and the bird bath water is nice and fresh now.
Hopefully be back on before long.
