Boot sale and going dotty!

This morning Darren took me for our usual jaunt, but we weren’t there long. We had our breakfast sandwich and had. Look round. Darren go some interesting playing cards for his collection and I missed out on a lovely cheese dish with mice on. When I went back to the stall I asked if he had sold it but he had actually decided to keep it when someone told him it was worth £40. I walked away when he offered it to me for three!
Did some shopping and then decided to start dotting the mask. Not finished yet, but I had so much orange paint left over that I painted another mask and three reindeer decorations, someone at the class might like to start dotting on them!
This afternoon Darren took me up to Freeport, we had a coffee and then looked round the Pound Stretcher. The sky was pretty good as we got there and even better as we were leaving!

Darren dropped me off at Tesco as I needed to get some apricot glaze or jam for marzipaning the cakes and I had tried all the shops in the town. I walked home from there and took another picture of the sky from the roundabout
I started the marzipan marathon when I was getting dinner ready, but have decided to do the rest tomorrow and make it a cat free zone!
Settling down for the Strictly results now.

  1. Sounds like the cheesy mouse bloke was feeding you a line. Thought you’d bite his hand off for £3 when it was worth £40 😊 Not as gullible as he thought!
I think the mask looks great. I’m betting one of the others will want to try doing one. It does lend itself perfectly to the technique.
Do love all the sky pics. Well worth the little trip out just to get them let alone cake stuff. Talking of which, you must be all caked out by now. You’ll be pleased when they’re all sorted.....until next year!

  2. I do like doing the cakes, but never seem to be as organised as I should be when it comes to decorating them and getting them out!
May do a bit more to the mask tonight, I would like to finish it for Tuesday.
Fabulous sky this afternoon, as you say, worth being out!
