It was fun to do and I think for a £1 papier mache mask it is pretty effective.
When I went shopping with Tina last week I got quite a lot of marzipan and this morning managed to get eight of the cakes covered. After lunch I went to the post office and then had a hot chocolate by the sea. A good few pics of the sea, it was lovely today.
Love the reflection in the one before last.
I bought more marzipan on the way home and after a rest, do get ridiculously tired when I have been out, beginning to feel my age! After that I covered the last three cakes and then made some mince pies (and some lime curd ones as Tina doesn’t like mince pies). Enough for dessert and some for the dot art group tomorrow. Didn’t take pictures, I was a bit hot and bothered and was going to see Sarah for a bit.
Dot art in the morning and then I may think about making some decoration for the cakes in the afternoon.
I do like that mask, and you look like a professional wrestler wearing it 😀
ReplyDeleteOne of these days I’m going to have a hot chocolate by the sea. It’s going in my things to do list! I like the reflections pic too. Very nice. You should take one every day from the same spot throughout the year, then they could be strung together into a little video showing it change through the year.
I’ve never tried lime curd, but it sounds very nice. Might have to treat myself to some......if I remember. I’m sure the mince pies will go down well with the ladies tomorrow, and I also think some of them will want to replicate the mask you’ve done.
I feel my age all the time and I’m still a youngster....ish and I don’t do half of the things you do!
Got the idea for the mask when I bought that African wooden one at the boot sale. At least it will be a different idea for them to think about.
ReplyDeleteQuite a good idea taking pics from the same spot, may have to try that.
Darren and Tina think the pies were up to scratch so that is good.
