Darren took me to Tesco, got the mincemeat and a few other bits and then we went to Freeport. We had tea and cake and then had a good wander round the Pound Stretcher.
This afternoon I did some baking, I made some cookies which I rarely do and then a batch of mince pies and some jam ones! Tina doesn’t like mince pies.
There were another dozen pies and a plated jam tart. I manage to have mountains of washing up when I am baking. We had a nice dinner, I had cooked a gammon joint in the slow cooker during the day.
When we were out this morning I got a set of little tree lights that are trees in bottles! Very cute, one with the light off and off of the and one a closer view of the bottles.
I feel like ai have been fairly busy today so don’t intend to do a lot this evening.
Pandora is really enjoying exploring the garden. It’s quite stressful for you though by the sounds of it. I’m sure she won’t go too far while you’re out there with her.
ReplyDeleteGathering loads of leaves isn’t taking it easy. You’re supposed to be resting your legs. Tut tut!
Like the look of your mince pies. Do you have a cutter for those tops, or did you cut all those sections out of rounds by hand? Bugger that for a game of soldiers ! Cookies look nice too. Can’t understand anyone not liking mince pies, although having said that I think Isobel is the same. You should leave all the washing up for the others to do. All those professional chefs don’t do their own washing up!
Love the string of lights. You always manage to find the odd things like that. They’re really cute.
It does sound like you done way too much today, so it’s definitely a good idea to have an easy evening. Feet up, nice cuppa and a couple of mince pies 😊
My hands are sore this evening which doesn’t bode well for sleeping! Do seemtohave kept busy today but enjoying a bit of The Good Life now.
ReplyDeleteI do have the utter, I used it for the Christmas cake decorations too.
Hadn’t planned to get any lights but spotted them, and they were reduced, I think they are unusual and cute.
