First one without flash and the other two with it on. It was hard to tell what the results were like when I was outside as it was still quite dark!
I did a couple of chores and packed my back with all the Christmas cards I had written last night and three packages ready to send. All the cards to mail all sent now, I think! Caught the 9.25 am bus into Hull. I had a list of things to buy, needed to go to the bank, and still had some presents to buy, but first st the post office. Well, not strictly true, I had a drink and sit down as my knees were really painful today. Took a picture of one of the statues in front of a Christmas tree on the station.
In the city centre there was a great lit up gingerbread house.
I had lunch at Princes Quay and finished off the shopping. I was in the bus queue for ten minutes, but it didn’t turn up so stood there for another ten. I don’t find standing still easy at the best of times, and today’s painful legs meant it wasn’t the best of days!
After a cuppa at home I took an elf’s hat to Sarah who is doing a stint in Tesco tomorrow as one of Santa’s little helpers! ThenI went to the shop and got some milk. Haven done a great deal since, I am quite tired but did stay up late to see the first few results declared last night. One of the houses on Sarah’s street had very pretty lights.
Really like the moon pics. Makes a change from the sun I suppose. You definitely get up way too early!
ReplyDeleteGlad you got into Hull and got a few little jobs out the way. It’s a shame your legs are giving you so much grief lately though as it spoils little trips like that totally. I remember the statue at the station. Hopefully I’ll get to see it again at some point.
Stayed up a while too last night to watch the results. Hopefully things will start to get get sorted now and Brexit will finally get put through. About time!
The moon was just so bright this morning. Tina says it is stunning tonight as well.
ReplyDeleteI have been resting up since I got back from the shop, so hopefully the legs will settle a bit!
