But on the bright side it was lovely to see Phil and Vanessa again, I used to love gong in their shop. As I walked past a box of remnants I spotted this material and they hand put it there especially. It even glows in the dark, so obviously I was destined to visit today,
I think a scarf is in order then I can glow in the dark, and of course I have a working sewing machine now!!
We both needed the loo so we cut through a Next shop to get their quickly. Passed these bags on the way through so they did actually get a sale.
We had a drink in Debenhams and then managed to get some clothes in the sale. We also went to the Grape Tree the natural food shop and stocked up on lentil and veggie crisps. Then back to the car and to Sainsbury’s cafe to meet Debbie and Neil. A very enjoyable lunch there and a bit of shopping and then we came home. I did go in the garden for a little while with Pandora and Tina said the Blue was hissing and annoyed seeing her in the garden!
My legs have been quite sore today, which spoilt the day a little for me, but it was a good and successful trip.
Will finish with a picture of these festive crisps, I took it as Mike wanted to get some, but I think they are all really tasty so worth trying!
Started wrapping presents last night and have pretty much finished now which is good.
That increasing senility is a bit of a bugger, but it comes to us all in the end 😊 Looking on the bright side though the machine didn’t need lots of work and if you hadn’t gone you wouldn’t have the glow in the dark material. They certainly won’t miss you in Hornsea on dark nights 😊 All in all a good trip, a nice meal and a bit of shopping.
ReplyDeleteBet Pandora was really pleased to get outside again, although it doesn’t sound as though Blue was too happy about it. Hopefully one of these days they’ll actually get on with each other!
Bit of feet up time this evening to appease the aching legs I hope.
Got a bag of those crisps today but haven’t tried them yet. The night is young though.
I was making memorable bloomers many years before old age had a hand in it!
ReplyDeleteIt was a good trip, and home in time to get some wrapping done too.
Will try and get Pandora out for a bit longer tomorrow, weather and Blue permitting!
You've been making "memorable bloomers", huh? Who are you, a Victorian-era Ann Summers?
DeleteOnly you could make a blooper while talking about making bloopers x

ReplyDeleteThis definition says it is a silly mistake!
In ye olden days bloomer was the given word for a gaff or mistake. You youngsters have made up so many new words since then 😊
