Went out with Tina, we were going to Morrison’s in Bridlington but Tina had some things to do at Skipsea church on the way. The sky there was still lovely, not pink anymore, and there were a couple of interesting tree stumps in the church yard.
We had brunch at a farm cafe and then went to Morrison’s and on to Aldi. A drink before we headed home, the rain started as we were leaving so we timed that pretty well! When we were home I managed to get the icing onto five of the cakes, the three that are going to Peterborough on Monday are the important ones. I made a few more decorations to go on them as well.
I have been quite achey today and think I have a bit of a cold hanging around, so not feeling the best this evening. Tamar and I are running the meeting at Living Well tomorrow, more dot art!
Some lovely colour in that morning sky, and you even managed to get the gull on the chimney. Very reminiscent of Scarborough. The sky at Skipsea has a nice colour too, even though it looks quite sepia toned.
ReplyDeleteThe fungi have definitely taken over the tree stumps. Looks like they were a few years old too if those rings are anything to go by. A nice bit of polish and it’d make a great table 😊
A busy schedule fitted around the pic taking. At least you don’t have to worry about the cakes for Monday now. One less thing to fit in over the weekend. But knowing you you’ll find plenty of other things to do. Think it’s about time you had a couple of quiet days with your feet up. It’d do you good.
Hope the group goes well tomorrow.
They certainly were big old trees and quite some age as you say. Fungi are so interesting and make great pics.
ReplyDeleteThe weather has changed so I don’t think there will be pretty skies tomorrow.
Restful evening is the general plan for this evening..
