Dot art and walk to the mere

This morning was dot art group, just two ladies today and they carried on with what they were doing so no pics. They did like the mask so maybe they will try one another day. Tamar and I base painted some Christmas decorations as we are doing a session at the Living Well meeting on Friday.
This afternoon I made up a flask and walked up to the mere as it was a beautiful day. It is only open until 4 pm and the cafe is closed now. I wandered around a bit and sat on a bench to have my drink. Took some photos, not a lot of explanation needed although I do like the one with the teasels.

The one before the teasels was an interesting tree stump.
I have cleared everything away in the dining room and later I may go down and start making decorations for the Christmas cakes. I am planning to do some batch baking tomorrow.

  1. Sounds like an easy session this morning then. Not so many teas to make.
Hope you haven’t made the legs ache too much with your walk to the mere. Some nice pics though, so worth the stroll. I like the stump. It looks good with all those mushrooms growing on it. The teasels look nice too with the background out of focus. Very nice light on them too.
I was thinking you might take it easy tonight as you’ve trekking back and forth to the mere, but it sounds like you have other plans. Take it easy.

  2. Yes it was an easy and relaxed session this morning, and the mince pies were well received.
I enjoyed the walk, it was a bit chilly but a beautiful clear day so good to make the most of some nice sunny weather.
