There were two support acts, both having forty five minute slots that overran a bit. There was a local group first who were really great and then a group that have a resident Sunday slot at the Cavern Club. Both played fifties and sixties music and really set the scene. A half hour break and then The Manfreds, we thought it would be a short set but they were on for well over an hour and a half and were absolutely fantastic. Paul Jones doesn’t look or sound any different and he plays a mean harmonica! People were taking videos and photos but I resisted until the last couple of songs when husndreds of balloons were dropped into the audience!
Was home about midnight and met by hungry but not warring cats for a change!
This morning I have pottered, went out for lunch and got the dining room ready for the dot art session tomorrow. Tamara isn’t joining me so I will be running it. I did go up to the cycle come do it yourself shop to try and get water based varnish but it was closed.
After lunchI headed out again, was gong to go to the builders merchants but passed the cycle shop which had opened, so got the varnish there. Then I walked along the Main Street to the Crafty Coffee Shop and managed to get some more buttons. Have done one more small canvas.
No particular plans this evening but won’t be late to bed tonight.
The city hall looks a lovely building and from what you’ve said to me I know you really enjoyed the show. You’ve been to a few concerts of late, and hopefully you’ll go to many more. A bit of loud music a bit of bopping are supposed to be good for you 😊
ReplyDeleteSounds like you’ve been busy again today, and no doubt tomorrow morning will be too. Really liking the canvases you’ve done for the button sessions. The Christmas tree is very effective. Hopefully you’ll get a few days to yourself soon to relax and prepare for the mad Christmas rush!
It is a lovely building, the seats could have been more comfortable but it didn’t spoil the evening,
ReplyDeleteAt least I have some samples to take along on Wednesday, with a bit of luck no one will turn up!
