Welcome Centre meeting

This morning I took my button art and decoupage boxes along to the library for the Welcome Centre meeting. The library is closing next spring as it will be housed in the refurbished leisure centre which is due to reopen then. A group of people are trying to acquire the library building to make it into a Welcome Centre for the local community. I am not on the working party but was asked if I would do a couple of craft taster sessions in the new year.
It was pretty well attended, I had a nice chat with the mayor and his son.
The official photographer didn’t arrive so I took a few more and one of a cheque from The Lions being presented.

When I got home I got Blue in from the garden and let Pandora go outside for a while. I will only let her out while I am around for a while until she has really found her bearings.
After lunch I went to get my hair cut, it is quite short this time but it will grow!
The male pheasant has been appearing in the garden lately. This photo was taken through the window, he is a handsome beast.
I haven put decorations up and may not this year, have hung cards, but have also got out last year’s Santa and I love my Santa trio!
I had a bath and washed my hair this afternoon and did wonder where Pandora was when I got out. Found her on my rocking chair, her favourite place when I am not around these days!
Got a delivery of some lovely flowers from Sarah and David for taking part in the meeting this morning. Don’t bring that vase out very often, one of my first pieces of pottery painting done about six years ago!

  1. Looks a nice little display you put on there. I hope you get a few people for the sessions. You’ll never get any rest 😊
Official photographer too. Are there no ends to your talents? No wonder you don’t get any rest, you can turn your hand to too many things.
Sounds like it won’t be too long before Pandora is roaming the outside world on her own. Fingers crossed she doesn’t bring you too many “presents” home! She may be slightly less popular than she is at the moment.
I think less is more with the decorations. It’ll also be less things to attract Pandora’s eye. You can do without her jumping up to grab stuff. Although she looks as if butter wouldn’t melt in her mouth in that photo.
That’s a nice bunch of flowers, and a nice thought. Plus it give you chance to give the vase an airing. I actually remember that one, so my memory can’t be as bad as I think.

  2. I am glad that the session is out of the way, can concentrate on trying to get ready for Christmas now!
I think the folk who organised it were happy and the chairman was pleased with the photos.
I don’t think I will need to supervise Pandora too much longer, but still wary on having them both out at the same time, as friendly felines still seems a good way off!
I like having fresh flowers, so that finished the day off nicely.
