Darren was off early today going to an Amiga meeting in Wales, so I went for a walk quite early. This lovely little flower has appeared by the path in the front garden.
I went to the charity shop as usual, reasonably busy and not too many problems with the till so that was good.
This afternoon I have finished tidying the prepared beds, put a few more things in the ground and moved anything else out of the greenhouse except one tomato plant. I also de-weeded the paved areas and then watered everything well. The walled garden is looking good.
We bought this very attractive clematis to go on the patio, I presume it had flowers before it ended up like this, but we both thought it looked fabulous.
The sweet peas that I grew from seed are really doing well now and looks like they will be in full bloom by the time I get back.
These little carrots are out of the raised bed, tiny but tasty.
This evening Tina and I went to the Jasmine Chinese restaurant, very good food and I used chopsticks!!
We have tried to get me booked in on the flight tomorrow and the case is packed , hopefully nothing too important forgotten.
Next entry from the other side of the pond!
So much colour in those pics of the flowers. Really like the first one. Such a pretty flower. The rest of the garden is looking good too. The walled garden looks totally different with all that colour in it. Bet you’ll notice a difference when you get back. You’ve even got home grown veg! Bet they did taste good, specially with a big dollop of butter on top :-)
ReplyDeleteThink I’ll have to add that restaurant to my list of things to do. Need to start a new one as I’ve not got one for Hornsea yet :-)
Have a good trip tomorrow, and have a great time while you’re over there. If you see Trump say hi from me!
Take care.
Parts of the garden are looking cared for now, slow progress but definitely on the right track! More colour when I get back hopefully and undoubtedly plenty of weeds!
ReplyDeleteWill be glad when I am actually on the way now!
Safe Journey xxx
