Lunch with Rebecca and a family walk

This morning I went out for a walk again, not as long as some but over half an hour. Every little helps as they say! I went in a different direction to look at a garden we pass in the car. A large pond there and geese.

On the way back I took a picture of the lily pond.
I sat out by the pool a lot today as the family had plans and everyone but Rebecca was out. Had to try a selfie while getting used to the iPad.
Rebecca drove us to Mount Kisco where we had lunch in a restaurant called Chopt. They do an amazing selection of salads and you can choose from a menu or select your on ingredients. The bowl of salad is then chopped up and returned to the bowl, hence the restaurant name! A picture of Rebecca’s car (very nice drive), and of Rebecca with her salad.

This evening we all went for a walk at Mountain Lakes Park, a wooded walk up to a spectacular viewing point.

Then we went to Ridgefield for dinner. A picture by the big flag had to be taken.
A quieter day and a lovely family evening.

  1. Another lovely day. Some great photo opportunities around that way too. Your walks have turned up some really nice views. Relaxing by the pool is always a good thing after a morning walk as well. Lunch looked nice. That’s quite a large salad. I’d never heard of Chopt so I looked it up. They have some great combinations. We could do with more places like that on this side of the pond.
Some great views on your evening walk too, and yes, that is a big flag!

  2. It is a lovely area, far from the madding crowd. I have enjoyed the walks albeit warmer and hillier than I am used to. I really enjoyed the lunch at Chopt, so maybe they will get to England some time.
