My knee has been sore for a bit and wasn't great this morning, but I decided to keep trying to get a walk in and set off on the road that goes alongside the mere. Passed this house that has such a lot of greenery on it, must make the rooms very dark upstairs!
Some of the houses along that road must have a good view of the mere from the upstairs windows, I could just about catch sight of it from the pavement.
There are still painted bikes and bunting all over the place, I hadn't walked this road before and the bides come in all shapes and sizes!
Once I had finished my walk and got a bit of shopping we waited for the table that used to be Anya's to arrive. It is a large table and they wanted a smaller one and we have a large dining room that can accommodate a big table. Once the legs were fitted it was too heavy for us to get upright so we had to wait for Darren to come in before it could be put in place.
This afternoon Jean, a lady from the craft group came in for a coffee and to see the house and garden. She was away when the craft group met at the vicarage. The Tina and I went to the tip with a broken chair and some wood and did some clearing of plant life on top of the outhouses!
After dinner I walked up to the churchyard and Tina had mentioned these very unusual red flowers.
A couple of shots of plants in the front garden, the daisy like flowers are blooming in abundance by the front door.
Garden watered so restful evening as it is charity shop day tomorrow.
The house with the greenery looks nice, but it’s not so good for the brickwork. Looks a nice place, so I would think they’ve got enough money to pay for the damp repairs and brickwork damage!
ReplyDeleteThere must be hundreds of those bike. It’s nice to have them for the event, but it’s what to do with them afterwards that’s the problem. Don’t suppose they’re hurting anyone though, and they do brighten things up.
That does look a very nice table. Suits that room a treat. You’ll definitely have to host the craft group more often and have dinner parties too.
Quite a full day again for you, and another morning on your feet tomorrow. Hope the knee is feeling a bit better by then.
The table really does suit the room, don't know about crafting on it though, will need a good thick table cloth!
ReplyDeleteIt made a change heading out in a different direction today, still places I haven't found off the main roads, but getting there.
I am on with the assistant manager tomorrow at the shop, so here's hoping the till behaves this week!!
