I will keep this fairly short today, it is getting late and I am tired and need to sort some holiday stuff. I had patterns for the 'fish and chip baby' vests to take to Abi at the craft outlet and I wanted to get some cash as the banks are now closed in Hornsea. Tina was going to the first aid hut so she dropped me off at the Tesco car park and I walked from there. Called in the craft outlet and bought a few bits for the journey, had a cup of tea then went to the cash machine. It was out of action so thought I would make my way back to Tesco. There is a house with pieces of wood outside for sale, I had been going to call in but as I didn't get any cash I didn't bother. I was hot and tired by the time I got back to Tesco so went into the hut and sat with Tina and her colleague for a few minutes. I had then got second wind so decided to walk to the front as it was so windy. Realised along the way that I hadn't got my camera, very unusual, so time to try with the phone. It was a little disappointing as the sea was relatively calm.
I was a bit windblown, have less hair now as I had it cut this afternoon! Walked home getting lunch on the way and then went across to get my hair cut.
When I got back Tina was in, we went to see if the man with the wood was around but nobody in, then we went to the garden centre to get a clematis to put by the dead tree! Had to have a drink and cake as well of course! On the way out Tina spotted a Beatrix Potter display and this was too cute to resist.
After I had paid and the lady had collected it from the display cabinet she realised that the robins tail was missing! So it was a bit of a performance as she said I could have it for 10% off. Anyway, it is home now.
I spent quite a long time in the garden this evening clearing up debris from the strong winds, hoeing and planting, then watering. Means the steps have topped 20,000 today though!
If those pics were all taken on the phone, then it’s very good. Not like you to forget the camera though.
ReplyDeleteA fair bit of walking for you. It’ll keep the Fitbit happy and stop it beeping at you.....until tomorrow at least! You beat me easily today.
I looked at the BP figure for ages before I could even spot the robin, so I’d have never noticed it’s tail was missing. You’ve got a few of those now.
Yes, good Fitbit day today! It took me a while to figure how to do the selfie with the phone, but at least now I know I can take pics okay on it if I want to.
ReplyDeleteI have got quite a few Beatrix Potter figures and I really like them all, there is room on the shelves for another one!
