Not a great deal to write today. I went into town and had my hair cut, Jodie does a nice job and is a friendly girl. I stayed in town and had lunch in the cafe near the bus stop, now called Cafe Niche with new owners. I was meeting Tina in town so that we could go to the ex customer viewing day at Sinclairs, that is closing down due to retirement. In The Works, before that, I bought some things to practice pyrography one, as I think I will be spending more time indoors for a while due to how painful the ankle is.
The other fairy door we put on the tombola at the church Fun in the Sun afternoon and the lady that won it was so pleased, so thought I would do another one.
We went to the furniture store, I have bought a chest of drawers and a bedside table and Tina a very nice storage foot rest/stool. They will be delivered at some point soon. I have had some blue and white sets of drawers for years, I do like them, but the drawers are really small, I am hoping that everything in them will fit into the new one which has six good sized drawers.
Tina collected her new ipad then, eventually, the lad serving her was lovely but the system kept crashing and she was there almost an hour, having been there getting on for a couple of hours yesterday.
Got home in time to go to my doctor's appointment. He was very nice, has referred me back to the surgeon to have the ankle checked properly. He wouldn't prescribe stronger pain killers as he though they might mask the problem. Advise swimming to get some exercise, I was going to go back tomorrow anyway. So,, I guess if it do as little as I can on it and hope the referral isn't too long arriving.
I quickly coloured another smaller mask that I had and will send it off with the others as I have decided that it will be best not to go with them this time.
May watch some of the para sport tonight,
The wooden stuff stuff from places like The Works and QD are so cheap. You couldn't make them yourself any cheaper. I do like those fairy doors and can understand why the lady who won the last one was so pleased. Is this one going to go on the next tombola?
ReplyDeleteGlad you managed to find some bargains in the sale. I'm sure everything will fit in the new drawers. You're pretty good at estimating things, so volume should be one of them.
I hope the hospital manage to get you an appointment quickly. They seemed very good last time. I can understand why the doctor didn't want to give you any stronger pills, but it doesn't help you in the meantime!
Like the small mask and I'm sure Isobel will too. She'll miss you not being there this year :-(
Like you say, the wooden stuff available is really cheap now. No plans really for the next fairy door, I just quite enjoyed doing it.
ReplyDeleteThe smaller mask may be a bit more comfortable for Isobel.
Better get crafty tomorrow if I get the sorting done.
