The sky last night was lovely again, been very spoilt with the view from the window of late.
Darren and I went to the boot sale this morning, although I needed to use knee as well as ankle support today I did manage to look at quite a few stalls. We got a pretty Japanese acer, because of course we really don't have enough trees to contend with. The bargain of the day for me thought was this delightful, tiny cake stand, have put a pen by it to give an idea of the size.
Brand new and a pound. This was followed closely by the hat, took a selfie when I was waiting in the car for Darren, which cost me 50p.
Darren had put his bow in the boot and we made our way to the archery club when we left the boot sale. Very nice setting for them to practice.
A couple of shots of Darren then I headed back to the car where I dozed and cooked equally for about an hour!
I wondered how they kept everyone safe but it is a good system. A whistle is blown when everyone has used their arrows and they all go down to collect them together.
The sky looked nice when I was quietly getting cooked in the car.
I got on with dinner when I got back and watched the end of the Grand Prix with Darren and Tina. I got a dvd at the boot sale, The Snow of Kilimanjaro, so watched it this afternoon. Final good piece of news, the parent gull opposite was making a heck of a noise and I looked out in time to see the baby fly in and make a wobbly landing!
The egg plate looks good in use. But either they are small eggs, or the insert in the plate is quite large. The colours go well with the eggs though.
ReplyDeleteStrange you should get the plate stand as I was only thinking on Wednesday when I did some baking, that I should really get. Not that I'd use it very often. I actually looked at the boot sale I went to this morning. They often turn up at boot sales as it's one of those things people always think they'll use, but don't :-) Like the hat you got, it suits you.
Darren really seems to be getting into the archery now. It does look fun though. I remember a friend of mine had a target set up in his back garden when I was about 10 or 11. I had a go and managed to put the arrow straight through the garage window. Nice clean hole though :-)
Great skies again.
They were quite large eggs, but the egg cup space was bigger! More room for mayonnaise though!
ReplyDeleteI like the hat, Darren wasn't too impressed though.
Darren is doing pretty well at the archery I think. I bet you were popular when you 'shot' the window.
