I phoned the doctor this morning to try and get an appointment, but no spaces available today. They had an appointment on Friday 21 st so I said not to bother. The ankle is still not feeling great and I had hoped all would be well by the time we were off to the F1 race. I spent the morning indoors and carried on with the jigsaw for a bit. Have done all of the sky which is probably the hardest part sorted.
I watched the first set of the Murray tennis match so left with him a set up. I went out but only to the Coffee Bean cafe as there was a craft and mindfulness group meeting which included an afternoon tea. Just a handful of people and Sarah, who runs it was very nice and welcoming. It was a little uncomfortable to start with as I am never completely comfortable in a room with strangers, but it was okay. I had thought there would be a theme but there are materials and you just do what you fancy. She had a lot of natural materials there, but as I had nothing planned I got a twig of dying leaves, drew them in charcoal for and then did a few more sketches in pencil, filling the page.
So, not a lot to write today, sitting here 'on ice' at the moment.
They are really dropping like flies at Wimbledon this year!
I do like the colours on those dome in the puzzle. I've always like the bright green ones they have on the local mosques, so that's probably why. Thought it was going to be a quick puzzle, but it must be harder than it looks if you've not ploughed through it yet.
ReplyDeleteDo you think you'll go to the group now on a regular basis? I like the way you say you just did a few more sketches to fill the page. I'd be happy if I could just do one :-)
Maybe I've put a jinx on Wimbledon by listening to it this year!
The puzzle is interesting, but harder than it looks.I was attracted by the colours and shapes.
ReplyDeleteI will probably try the group again, it will be easier next time as |I will have met most of the people already. I can go prepared with something in my mind too.
