I have been struggling with moving the photos and have taken them off the card now, so will select three random car pics for now and if I get to grips with it will do something a bit more specific another time!

Today Sandy collected me and took me to the studio. I spent a couple of hours cleaning and filling the paint pots. I had seen the snail I painted in the window but Sandy got it out for me to have a good look and take some pictures. I painted this for Sandy and she is very pleased with it.

I do know that snails don't actually have eyes at the end of there antennae but Sandy wanted them, I compromised as she had originally wanted bright, not very snail like colours. In the end she is delighted.
I had a penguin on one side and have made a start on that today. This will not go into the kiln as I want to do some more coats of paint.

Darren collected me just about 2 pm and I have pottered and rested this afternoon. The ankle is still painful, doctor tomorrow so we will see where that takes me.
I was given a peace lily along with other plants in a basket at Christmas, I re-potted them all early in the year. I have never had a lot of success with peace lilies, much as I like them, but this one is flowering.
I ordered a multi purpose saucepan that arrived a few days ago. It has a steamer tray and an egg poacher tray, but it also divides and that is the way I used it today for my dinner.
Very successful. and all cooked in about fifteen minutes.
Slightly different sky picture to finish with tonight. bit like a Turner moon, except it was the sun!

  1. I'm sure you'll get your car pics sorted in the end. That'll teach you not to take so many :-)
The snail is lovely and I can see why Sandy is pleased with it. I think the compromise on the eyes was a good choice, as it would have spoiled it if they'd been bright and well defined. The penguin looks nice too. Is it looking down at a baby on its feet?
Looks like a nice, and healthy meal in the new saucepan. What happens if you want more than four different things for tea though? :-)

  2. Yes, it has got a baby on it's feet. I had some sliced chicken with the meal tonight. I have some potatoes and carrots over, quite a lot of room in there.
Clouded over outside now and the breeze is quite cool.

  3. That was bad planning. If you'd have done cabbage instead of carrots you could have had bubble and squeak tomorrow :-)

  4. That's true, may fry them up anyway!
