A couple of sky pictures again.
This morning I caught the early bus and went to the hotel again to use the pool. There was a family in when I got there but I was on my own after ten minutes. I had breakfast at the cafe and then got the bus home, I was in by 9.45 am.
Tina was meeting friends at the church, and then she was coming back here to collect me to have lunch with them at Oliver's Mount. We all had a very nice lunch, with a table so that we had a sea view as Tina had booked in advance. I went onto the balcony at the cafe to take a picture of the view from there.
We wandered up to the war memorial so took another one from there, lucky with the weather earlier, it is raining again now.
After Tina's friends had left she and I went shopping. We collected my pottery and flea treatment for the cats on the way. The penguin has turned out nice and black, very pleased with it.
The toast and egg plate isn't quite as well covered, but I love the colours.
As my kettle blew up last night we visited the new Argos situated upstairs at Sainsbury's to get one. The first few I selected weren't in stock. I have some green kitchen pans and on the box it looked like the kettle I bought was a similar colour. It is actually more yellow that green, but it works which is the main thing!
Will watch The Last Leg later, it is on earlier tonight. All being well going out with Darren tomorrow so that he can enjoy another of his birthday gifts, hopefully will have some good pictures for the next blog.
Really like the colour of that sky. Odd you wait for the gull to perch, or is it always there? :-)
ReplyDeleteI remember the view from Oliver's Mount, it's very panoramic. Nice clear view today too. Glad you had a nice luncheon with the ladies.
The penguin turned out really well. The black is very deep and shines. Can't see from the pic, but did the glittery effect work on it's head? Like the egg plate too. Nice colours, I can see why you wanted to use them. Definitely fill it up with mayo and have some nice chunky chips on the plate!
There is a gull there a lot of the time, maybe it won't be there so often now that the baby will be on the move soon.
ReplyDeleteThere are a few glistening parts on the head if you really look, but subtle to the point of not really visible!
Chips and mayo for you when you are here then!
I'll look forward to that :-)
ReplyDeleteNot long now....
