We have been out most of the day, setting up the tombola for the 'Fun in the Sun' day and then running the stall and helping generally with clearing up etc at the end. It was very quiet to start with but we did get a fair number of people attend by mid afternoon.

At least is was a nice bright day, although some people were chasing their tombola tickets around as the wind was whipping them away! There was live music by a band called 'Simply Brass', who were very good.
The Birds of Prey folk were there and I held a lovely harrier from North America.
Once we were back here Tina and I retired to the settee, we watched The Last Leg on catch up and then Darren went down to get us fish and chips because neither of us were inclined to cook! I struggled a bit with knee and ankle today, but it was a good event and we sold all of out tickets and made a reasonable amount of money.
The sky looks quite dramatic tonight, colourless but interesting.

Casualty in a bit, hopefully not an episode needing tissues, we have had enough of them recently.

  1. Well it was definitely in the sun, but the question is, was it fun? I suspect it was hard...ish work, but all in a good cause. Worth it though if for no other reason than the fish and chips for tea! Shame you had trouble with the knee and ankle though, as it spoils it a bit for you.
Very dramatic sky. I like the send of the two shots personally.
Casualty without tisssues, you are joking, right? :-)

  2. I don't use tissues EVERY time!! The fish and chips were tasty, haven't had any for a while so although I live at the seaside it made a change.

  3. Well you certainly got some bargains at the car boot. Plus lovely weather, the sky photos look great.
Well done with the sun and fun day, it's very hard work trying to sell all those items that people put so much effort into. Don't blame you for getting F&Cs, well deserved.

  4. Surprising how tiring helping out at those invents can be. Tina and I were definitely not wanting to think about cooking when we got home! xx
