Small steps in the garden!

Quite a busy day today. Helped Tina move some boxes around and get a cabinet in place so that she can unpack some of her china. I took a redundant bookcase apart and then we crammed the car full of stuff for the tip. We had a sandwich at Mr Moos, but no ice cream and then went on a mystery tour across country, very quiet and pretty road, and made our way to Hornsea garden centre. I had some tubs with bulbs in at the front of the house in Scarborough and thought it would be nice to have them in the front garden here but to have some winter bedding plants to add a bit of colour. We picked plants and got some compost and then it was time for dessert, we shared a large meringue! The guy there, when I asked for a weak latte, gave my a cup of frothy milk and the shots in a separate pot so I could add as much or as little as I wanted!
I picture from inside the garden centre and one of the sky as we were leaving.

I spent an hour or so finding tools and moving and sorting the pots, there should be a lot more flowers visible soon.
We also bought some reduced fun bird feeders and I put them up in the yuccas on the front lawn.
This evening I have helped Tina get a blind up in the bathroom so now, apart from not having a door, the room can be used.
Second part of Holby tonight, I really hope they are not killing Jac off!!

  1. You’ve managed to cram in a lot again today. Hopefully all the little jobs that need doing around the house and garden will be out the way soon, giving you all chance to relax a little. The flowers were essential though, as you need a bit of colour out the front. A giant merengue at the garden centre is always a good idea, and serving the latte that way is perfect. More coffe shops should do that. Great sky photo too.
Not sure who Jac is, but fingers crossed they don’t bump him/her off :-)

  2. It was a busy day, but things are taking shape, It will be good when the hallway is done so that some items that belong there can actually be moved there. Hopefully the tubs will be really colourful before too long.
