Busy bee!

Quite a busy day and a lot of variety again, not too likely to get bored at this rate! I went to the shop early for roll out icing and milk, the second hand shop was open and Tina had told me he had some cute garden ornaments. I bought the rabbit which was a smaller one and came away thinking about the calf and lamb which were adorable. I was sorting stuff for the tip and the charity shop when a delivery came, it was some recycled tyre planters and two small metal birds that Tina had ordered for me from the Tradecraft catalogue. A picture of the rabbit with the little birds behind it.
The recycled planters are fabulous.
Tina had a meeting so I finished sorting stuff for the tip and got the car loaded up to bursting again! Then, although it was cold, I had compost and some bulbs and pansies left, so I planted up two of the new planters.
I moved the stuff for the charity shop into the hall ready for out second run out then, as Tina was still in her meeting I went upstairs and got the drill out. Got a set of hooks up in the cupboard in my bedroom so that I could hang up the huge amount of bags I have out of the way. Even more bags have gone to the charity shop!
I also got the other two floating shelves assembled and up, straight this time too!!
When Tina was free we set off for the skip, they are getting to know us there, and then she kindly drove me into Skipsea so that I could send off some packages as our post office has closed! We had a nice toasted sandwich at Mr Moo's and then came home and loaded up the car to go to the charity shop. Tina also had to call at the computer place and I bought poinsettias for my hedgehog planters - perfect!
The kitchen floor won't get done until the new year now, so we carried the table through which was ideal for me to get on with the cakes. I definitely wanted to get the ones for the weekend done but in the end finished them all, glad they are done this year.
Darren has moved one of my chairs into the bedroom for me in readiness for the arrival of my french style armchairs being delivered tomorrow.
Planning a lazy evening now!

  1. No, you’ll never get bored! Lots of good stuff done though, so not a bad day. I like th3 rabbit, awwwww cute. Rose would like that too. I also really like the tyre planters. You’d never know what they were made from, and painted really well.
Glad you’ve got all the cakes out of the way now. A bit less stress for you. They do taste good, so well worth making. I suppose you could just make one and have it yourself, but where’s the fun in that :-)
Hope the evening has stayed a lazy one.

    1. I meant to put a picture of the calf as I weakened and bought it and it is super cute!! It is bigger but delightful.
I am glad to have the cakes finished, what with the move and chaos they haven't been quite such a pleasure to make this year, but hopefully they will be as tasty as usual.
      Definitely still a lazy evening.
