Bit of sunrise/sunset, but not like it used to be!

I did catch a bit of morning sky but had to lean at a very awkward angle to see it and then through two lots of glass!
Tina and I loaded up the car again for the tip, we will be on first name terms there soon! Tina had to take it on her own this time as we had a builder in fitting toilet seats, fixing the shower and adjusting doors so that they would go over the new flooring. I had some stuff for the charity shop so put it in the trolley and went early before Tina went out. I bought some pvc sheeting to make protective covering for my nice trolley especially for the top as I have plants on there. I had seen the funky cow pattern one and the roll had been started when I passed today. Got cutting that when I got home.

Then I sorted out the ceramic hearts I did at pottery camp and put some other pictures up as well.

Was going to do a bit in the walled garden but my ankle has been really bad so decided to stay in and bake instead. Loving the space in the kitchen now we have a big table in there, I can really spread out. Made quite a batch of mince tarts and some cheese scones.
Could see a bit of the evening sky from the utility room, will make an effort to get a better vantage point when I stop finding jobs to do around the house!

This evening I went with Tina into the church for the rehearsal for her induction service tomorrow. Took a few pictures, I think the lighting in there will be better tomorrow. The rural dean was organising things tonight and she was delightful and funny too. The pictures show a pretty relaxed Tina, probably won't be quite so relaxed tomorrow as this is a really big deal.

May try and do a bit in the garden tomorrow, rather depends on the legs!

  1. As you say, the sunsets will never be as good as they were in Scarborough. You were very spoiled there!
You’ve had quite a productive day, not that I should be surprised really, as most of your days are. The baking looks really nice, and I dare say tastes pretty good too. Quite a few gone by now I should think. Bet Darren will have some in his pack up tomorrow.
Quite like the picture from the inside of the church. The lighting is quite nice like that. Tina does look very relaxed in those pics :-) Hopefully she’ll be just as relaxed tomorrow and will enjoy it. It’s a big day.

  2. Never at a loss for something to do at the moment that's for sure!
I have frozen quite a bit of the baking, trying to get a bit prepared for the weekend and Christmas. Have left some for eating now though.
