Is that really me?

Rachel took me across to Eye this morning before she and the family went out for the day. I had a key to get back in and collect my case. I spent an hour with 97 year old Emmie who was on good form as usual. She was really happy I took her in a cake. Yesterday Anya said I could text her when I was ready to leave, and she was not going out she could come and collect me to save me getting a taxi. She did come so I went and waited outside the complex on a grey, cold Eye morning.
When she arrived she said that Isobel had asked if she would bring me back home as she wanted to see me again, so went back and had a drink with them, took a couple of pictures of Isobel by the tree, in the second one she was showing me she had hung the one that I found with her name spelt correctly!

Then the four of us went and had lunch at Morrisons which is where I had arranged to meet Darren for the journey home. One picture of the bridge at night, not great but had to be taken!
Darren gave me a box of old cards and pictures to sort through. Don't remember this one, but with that car it was about fifty years old, can't believe I was ever that size!!
Something to aspire to maybe?
Going to watch the new Agatha Christie tonight.

  1. Sounds like today’s visits rounded your day off nicely. Glad to hear Emmie is still on good form. She’ll probably outlive us all!
Bet the photos are great to look though, lots of memories. Think I can see and old ford anglia behind you in that picture. Your size in the picture is just an optical illusion from the lens :-)

  2. Some really old stuff there, but yes, interesting and a scrap book I didn't remember I had done! It was a good day but as always nice to be home.
