Bus to Freeport

This morning I thought it would be nice to get out for a bit and leave the sorting and garden for a while. I was getting ready to go and catch the bus when there was a delivery, two packages for me! One was the collapsible bamboo laundry basket I had ordered.

The other was a super soft throw sent by the family in America. It is soooo soft, gorgeous.

I had a few bits I wanted to try and get, but mainly I just went to have a leisurely wander and see what bargains I could find. It was quiet on the bus and surprisingly quiet at the outlet centre, not that I am complaining as it was a really enjoyable trip. They have quite a lot of Christmassy decorations on the walls and to cater for us older folk lots of benches at regular intervals.

I bought a tea light spinner reduced in one of the shops, it is so pretty and was whizzing round when I first lit the tea light. Also, when watching it the spinning actually alternates direction!

I wanted to get frames for the two small John Tierney prints I bought on Holy Island. I actually met him and chatted with him when I got them. Got two really nice frames at a very reduced price, so really pleased to now have them on show.

I also got a couple of metal garden decorations, will take a picture when they are in place. Back home I did a little more sorting, got the small gecko up in the shower room but more importantly got my flying pigs onto the wall!!

I have been searching, not quite frantically, but anxiously for a picture my sister had transferred onto slate for me. With relief I found it last night, it is of her as a young girl and I comment on it when I visit her as I love it. So she had it made into this special memento for me. Taken before I was born, so a pretty old picture!

I have had a restful afternoon, so it has been a really good day.
