Visits and changing sky

I went to see Bel this morning, she was in pretty good spirits and was looking forward to having her hair permed this afternoon. I got some washing done when I got home and made lunch for myself and Darren as Tina had gone to Mirfield. After lunch I set off early and dropped a letter off at the surgery before sitting on a bench near the surgery to do a sketch. A man who lives on the care home near the bench came and sat next to me and chatted away while smoking like a chimney! He wasn’t old, in his fifties and had obviously had some difficulties. I was happy enough to chat to home while I did my sketch.
Then I went to see Jean who is looking better each time I see her. We had a good chat and she insisted that Terry drove me home.
I was getting dinner and was in and out like a yo-yo as the sky kept getting prettier. So a few pics to finish.

  1. Your visitees, if that’s a word, and if not it should be, sound like they’re improving on every visit. That’s good.
So you’ve been left in charge again if the Rev’s away. More opportunities for you to spoil Darren 🙂 Bet you’ll be baking cakes tomorrow for him 😊
I like your sketch. Sounds like the flashing sign on your forehead was switched on again. At least you had a bit of company while you were sketching.
That is a beautiful sky. I can see why you kept popping out to take pics.
Hope you have a good nights sleep.

  2. It was a bit like old times having the guy chatting away to me, probably a lot of folk would make a quick exit.
It is strange how sometimes you can almost watch the sky getting more colour, other times it is a lovely sunset but there and gone,
