I forgot one photo yesterday. The garden centre we went to was much more traditional and not like a super store. The ‘Christmas display’ ,was a reindeer and sleigh they had made themselves. They had a handful of trees and a couple of shelves at the back with some Christmassy things.
Back to today. I made some of the healthy slices I like from the latest cookery book. Then I went for a short walk to the park and did a sketch.
I started mowing the large lawn in the front garden before lunch, and went out to finish after lunch. When I was taking the cuttings to the garden bin I took a photo of the dead tree thinking I should draw it, but not a ten minute one, a more detailed drawing.
I was asked to do some A4 sheets of the twelve days of Christmas for people at a dementia cafe to colour in. I do wish I was better as saying no!
I have been putting it off as I have very little inclination, and have now done the numbers!
There was a Remembering service in church today for people who have lost loved ones in the last year. Tina had taken a beautiful large bunch of roses in and there were some left over so I have displayed them on one of the vases I painted.
I have watched the Strictly results and am going to try a new drama in a bit.
What a shame about the bag. Pity they didn't have the decency to point it out. They must have known about it! I'm sure you'll find some way of sorting it. Other than that it looks really nice.
ReplyDeleteI like the homemade reindeer in garden centre. Much more in keeping than all the bling most of them think they need.
you've kept busy. Gardening and crafts. you put me to shame. I like todays sketch and I think the tree in the pic will also make a good one at some point. In between gardening and the twelve days of Christmas. It's very hard to say no sometimes. I know the feeling well.
Well at least you won't get bored tomorrow.
I was disappointed when I examined the bag, but I will think of a way to make it useable.
ReplyDeleteI liked the reindeer, when I told the guy at the counter I liked it he told mr they had made it.
Dentist tomorrow and local anaesthetic so may not get much else done!
