The bowl I decorated using the underglaze pencils had been fired. A very subtle effect but I really like it and it would suit more delicate pieces.
I finished painting the gingerbread house that I started a while ago.
After that I helped make some clay pieces for the Christmas groups Caroline has got booked. Caroline gave me a lift home when we had finished.
I went to Sher’s shop and had a catch up with her and Haley. I asked if she wanted to use the stuffed Christmas tree I had made in a display. She said she would like to so I came home nd took the two back for her to choose from. It had started to drizzle by then and I had been going to find something to sketch, but it ended up being an inside one again.
We had tea together tins evening as Tina and Darren are off for their mini break tomorrow.
I am going to the Dementia cafe tomorrow to help the attendees colour in the sheets that I drew.
Quite a busy day again and a fair bit of walking! So much for going on the bus 🙂
ReplyDeleteThe nativity is getting smaller each year, but I’m guessing it’s just as naff as usual. I bet lots of people look forward to it though. I do 😂
I think the bowl has turned out really well. It’s so much more delicate than they usually are with the very fine lines. I’m sure you’ll find a few uses for it it the near future. I love the gingerbread house. I can see why it was a nightmare to do, but it’ll be totally worth it when it’s fired. Really looking forward to seeing that.
The stuffed tree will be perfect as a display piece.
Enjoy your colouring tomorrow 🙂
The sketch is great. Very realistic, and certainly a different sort of subject matter. That book will be great when it’s finished.
Not sure my leg is appreciating the walking and I am definitely not appreciating the leg! But I still think ‘use it or lose it’. Not so much walking today though.
ReplyDeleteI like the effect of the pencils and yes, pleased the gingerbread house is finished!
It will be a different experience today.
