Said cheerio to Tina and Darren before setting off in the snow to go to the dementia cafe with the colouring sheets. I walked very carefully as the pavements were already very slushy and slippery. Sadly, because of the weather, only six attendees arrived, more helpers that guests, but everyone got on with colouring after we had eaten. The sheets were a success and they were very colourful when done.
The snow stopped while I was there but the pavements were pretty bad as I walked home. If it freezes tonight they will be treacherous.
Home alone for a few days now, well I do have the cats to keep me on my toes!
An indoor sketch again, could be a third tomorrow!
Nice lazy evening now I think.
Tina and Darren have arrived safely in Wales, they say the snow wasn’t as bad there as here.
I know the snow is a pain in the bum for people trying to get around, but I just like it. Wish we had some ☹️🥶❄️⛄️
ReplyDeleteIt’s a real shame the weather stopped some of the people attending the cafe, but at least some made it there. The results look really good too. Bet you’ll be doing that next year.
Yes the pavements will be treacherous tomorrow if it freezes, which I’m sure it will. Hopefully you can have a day at home in the warm and safety of the house. We don’t want any little slip ups, specially as your housemates are away.
I hope Darren and Tina have a good time.
Nothing wrong with indoor sketches. You always manage to find good subjects.
Stay warm.
The snow is still there this morning and it is bitterly cold. When I got the bin in I could see that the pavements are icy so indoors it is!
ReplyDeleteThe volunteers enjoyed the colouring yesterday and people were chatting as they coloured, so it was successful despite the numbers.
