Dodging the rain!

I wanted some more fondant icing and wanted to get out for a bit today. Originally I thought I would walk to the front and then make my way to Tesco along the trail. It had looked bright out but it stated spitting as I set off, so thought I would just go to Tesco and not do longer walk. I only took a big and it wa. Bit on the heavy side, but as I left the store the rain had stopped so made my way  to the trail.
I stopped to do a sketch of the sea wall and it started to rain so the ink was running and then the pen wouldn’t write t all! Managed to get a quick sketch done,
I had a drink at the hub and then walked back, the bag felt heavier by the step.
I did red for a while, will soon have finished the book. Then I made another batch of cake decorations,
Then I decorated some of the ones I made yesterday.
The trees with the three half balls on will go on Rose and Rosie’s cakes s they are vegan sweets!
Will finish with a couple of pictures from Tina.

  1. You were brave going out in the weather we’ve had lately. It just had to rain while you were out. Typical! Plus you only went out to get stuff for the cakes, or should I say bloody cakes! 😂 I bet you’ll take the trolley next time you go shopping for icing. The decorations all look great though. Nearly at the end now…….for this year! It’ll be a joy for you to have a clear kitchen for a while.
The sketch is nice, and all the better considering the conditions it was done in. That’s definitely taking it too far for your art 🙂
I bet the travellers are having a nice time. Some nice scenery there, and some nice skies.

  2. It was good to get out for a bit but would have been better with the trolley!
Will try to start actually finishing the cakes today, then get them collected!
Does look lovely where Darren nd Ton are, they have been quite lucky with the weather.
