We went and had breakfast and then browsed some shops for a while. I weakened and bought the signed book I have had my eye on for a while called Raising Hare, it is a true account of a lady who raised a young abandoned hare. Tina wasn’t too happy I bought it which made me feel bad as I suspect she had getting it, or worse still has already bought it. Judi drove me home and we stopped for a coffee at the garden centre on the way. It was a really lovely catch up.
This afternoon I did go out to get another sketch into my little book.
I painted the poppy that I made as the clay had dried out.
I haven’t done much else, still feeling weary from the last couple of busy days.
Always nice to have a catchup like that. It’ll be nice for you to do it in London next time. I always think of London being a short hop, but for you it’s a little longer trip. Not too bad though.
ReplyDeleteCan’t say that I blame you for treating yourself to the book. You’re like me, you’ll have talked yourself out of it several times before you took the plunge, then wondered why you didn’t just buy it in the first place 🙂 I hope it wasn’t a pressie the Rev had already got put away for you.
Good sketch. I’d like one of those follies at the bottom of my garden. When I win the lottery I’ll have one built at the end of my garden next to the lake at my country home!
The poppy looks really great! I do like that.
I know the weary feeling. I’m the same at the moment and I haven’t done a quarter of what you’ve done recently!
It was a lovely time with Judi, she doesn’t get up this way often.
ReplyDeleteI am happy with the poppy but think it will be a bit fragile if handled too much.
