Very quiet day

Today was catch up day, I pottered for a while this morning before going to see Bel. Her arm has been painful and swollen this week and her neighbours have been looking after her. A young man arrive just after me to service her stair lift and I made him a coffee and us a cuppa. I also broke up a jigsaw for her and dropped it off at the charity shop on the way home, the electrician has an interesting job, he had travelled from Bradford today and is working in central London next week. He works all over the UK including Northern Ireland.
Darren and Tin were home when I got back, they had enjoyed their short break and Darren hd a good birthday.
After lunch I waited for Jean to arrive. The first time she has been to me this year, but her back is a little better and she has builders in the house nest door and was glad to get away from the noise.
I sorted the veggie box when Jean left and the phone was upstairs so I missed a message. Tin hd messaged to see if I fancied fish and chips for tea. They had been out and collected some on the way home, very nice.
My head is quite painful so I just got a few bulbs and the final two plants into the garden nd watered the bonsai trees but not the garden.
No photos today so will post a couple from five years ago.
I am thinking of getting the bus into Beverley tomorrow.

  1. Definitely a quiet day by your usual standards. Blimey, on tea and coffee duties at Bel’s house. Bet she hates not being able to do it herself. Not sure I’d fancy the electricians job. That’s a lot of travelling. But not so bad if he’s single I suppose.
Made quite a change for Jean to get to yours today. Hopefully she’ll be able to get out more often if her back is a bit better, specially with builders next door. Nightmare!
Fish and chip Friday, you can’t beat it. I do miss fish and chips around here. Can’t even get them in town now Parrots has closed ☹️
Make the most of a reasonably quiet day, doesn’t often happen. Although if you’re off to Beverley tomorrow it should be nice.

  2. I feel tired, funny how the less you do the more tired you feel!
I do think Bel finds it difficult to let me do things, but she really cannot manage at the moment.
Jean is determined to get to some of the Easter week services, so I hope she manages that without too much difficulty.
