I pottered around this morning as was going to Sarah and David’s for 10.45am. Quite a long drive to a farm near the village of South Cave. They took me out for lunch today as they will be away on my birthday. A very nice meal and an interesting shop on site but I resists the temptation to buy! Nic wallpaper in the loo!
Our front door lock is playing up and hit took me a while to get into the house, may take the back door key with me if I go out tomorrow!
I spent a couple of hours in the garden, I got all the plants I had into the beds and some of the bulbs, plus some hoeing to keep on top of the weeds
I put some plants in one of the cleared beds.
I hadn’t realised how many tulips I had put in one of the beds.
Quiet evening now, anyone would think I was retired!
I’m sure Darren will enjoy the cake regardless of how the little chocs are arranged 😊 The question is, will he wait until tomorrow before he samples it? I know how much he likes your cakes, so I’ll be surprised if he waits 🙂
ReplyDeleteIt was nice of Sarah and David to take you out for a birthday treat. Judging by the posh wallpaper in the loo I’m guessing it was a really nice place. But the meal is more important than the decoration and it seems that hit the spot too.
Definitely a good idea to take the back door key with you. Not a good thing to be stuck outside with your housemates away. Plus if it’s going to happen to anybody………we’ll you get my point 😊
Thought you might still squeeze in a little bit of gardening. I love all those tulips in that bed. Looks really colourful. It’s a real shame that weeds aren’t as colourful or you could just leave the garden to look after itself!
The thing is, you are retired. Trouble is you only notice when you’re on your own and not looking after your housemates 😂
Bright colourful weeds would be great. Dandelions are bright and run riot if left. Edible too! I still get rid of them when I can though and their long roots.
ReplyDeleteIt was quite a posh restaurant and shop.
Didn’t need to water tonight as it has been overcast today.
