I did get up at a reasonable time and got dressed! I went to the banking hub, very busy in there today after being closed for four days, and then did. Bit of shopping. I did go out into the garden, wasn’t particularly on the mood but there are several areas which are getting pretty overgrown, today thought ai had better make a start at the front of the front garden as that is the bit the public sees! I took two photos of bits to attack, didn’t get too far with the second one.
The group of tulips are looking good in that first pic, it amazes me how they multiply.
There are some different tulips in the main bed, they open up and look like stars and them close at night.
A lot of work on that first bed, even go the edge cutter out!
I made a start on the second area, but fighting with the undergrowth and the low tree was a step too far today!
I put a few pieces in Darren’s jigsaw, a bit I had been doing at the corner, but then left it for home. He did some when he got in and we were waiting for Carol nd Sal to turn up to cut our hair.
My hair is a bit shorter that usual but a nice cut again, but I am not sure if it was the way I was sitting, but couldn’t move my head in my direction afterwards without a shooting pain! I have taken pills and endeavoured to rub the get into my head, not great for the haircut but a bit easier now!
Was going to get sorting again this evening but am rethinking that one!
Tina has been poorly today so hoping that she starts to feel a bit better tomorrow.
I’m sure they treat Christmas plants and trees with some sort of chemicals that kill them off after a while so you can’t keep growing them, ensuring return business for them next year! Stick with your old leggy thing. I think it looks good and it still provides you with a nice bit of colour 🙂
ReplyDeleteI’m not surprised you were overly keen on doing a great deal today, specially in the garden. You still have the remnants of the bug you were given, so take it easy for a while. Every bit of garden you do, regardless of how small is still another bit done. That’s the advantage/disadvantage of having a huge garden! The tulips look lovely, and I would never have guessed the star shaped ones were tulips. You do have lots of patches of colour in that garden. It brightens it all up even when there are weeds there, and more so when they’re not. They’re definitely motivating.
You have been good for not doing too much of Darren’s jigsaw. I can imagine it’s hard not to do more 😊 Looks like he nearly has it complete. He can break it all up then and you can do it 😊
Your hair looks nice. They do do a good job. Shame you now have a stiff neck to go along with everything else! Fingers crossed the pills and gel helps. Definitely feet up time.
Tina has been quite poorly recently. She could definitely have done without any of that at a very busy church time! She needs to have a word with her boss! 😊
I had a few people talk to me while I was out the front, most want to know about the house but a couple were very encouraging about the garden! Two ladies wanted to come in and look at the star tulips and chatted to me for a while.
ReplyDeleteI was tempted to do more puzzle, it is a great picture, but Darren has really enjoyed doing it.
I can move my head a bit more now, it quite literally is a pain!
