I finished that bit of work and then came in while the guys came to mow the lawns.
After they had gone I went out and hoed all the beds (roughly) before lunch.
After lunch I went out to pay some attention to the bed we can see from the kitchen window.
That was surprisingly hard work and I filled the garden cart!
I had a couple of deliveries today, one wa a used book, the first novel in the Roy Grace series by Peter James. I really enjoy the tv series nd thought I would give the books a go. Have made a start nd think I will enjoy it.
The other delivery was allegedly 1000 buttons, they are very small ns it will take some colour sorting!
Feeling a bit weary, may leave sorting the buttons tonight!
I think that sticky weed is the weeds trying to scare you off? Doesn’t work though, just makes you a lot more careful 🙂
ReplyDeleteThe two side beds look a great deal better after your work on them. At least you’re still having the lawns cut for you. That does take a bit of work off your ever growing pile of jobs!
The bed outside the kitchen window looks really nice tidied up. I remember that path going down when there was some turf from, I think where the rockery used to be. I’m sure I was there when it was done. Certainly looks very well established now.
I’m terrible with books these days. Not sat and read anything for a very long time. I really should make the effort. Can’t see it happening though.
There doesn’t look to be a 1000 buttons in there. You should count them as you sort them! As if you’ve nothing else to do 🙂 Anyway, the buttons can wait tonight……put your feet up.
Don’t think I can be bothered to count the buttons, sorting the fiddly things out will be a task enough.
ReplyDeleteAlthough there are lots of places in the garden that need a lot of attention I do feel more in control than I have in a long time.
There are loads of books in the Grace series so if I enjoy it will have a years worth of reading!
Will try to get out for a walk tomorrow.
