I went to the postbox before collection time, one letter for men’s one for Tina. I realised as I got to the post box that Tina’s wasn’t sealed property so I came home again to stick it down and then back in time for the collection.
Tina had an appointment in Hull this morning to see how the work on their house is progressing, luckily she is feeling better than she did yesterday. We were early so she drove along to the new dentist I will be transferred to as my dentist is retiring. It isn’t far from the house so I know the area a bit and there are bus stops nearby on both sides. I will need to catch when into Beverley and then another one into Hull so the appointment better be in the middle of the day! After the viewing Tina drove back through Beverley to show me the building that ai am meeting Judi in on Monday. So the locations re in my mind now, we stopped for a coffee and then had a look round in Lidl. Tina bought a self assembly garden bench to replace the rotting one in the front garden.
I had phoned Bel yesterday and got no answer so I went round to check this afternoon. She is fine and I will visit her tomorrow morning as she is busy on Friday morning.
I got the hose out this evening as we didn’t get rain. Tina came out into the garden and pulled some unwanted shoots from the decorative willow.
I will finish with a collage from six years ago, the beds were. Bit different then!
It’s a lovely picture on the jigsaw. Are you tempted to have a go at it now, or isn’t it the same once you’ve seen it completed? Is he having another one to do himself or are you back doing them together? 😊
ReplyDeleteGood job you noticed the unsealed letter, but a bit of pain that you had to go all the way home. I think you need to start carrying a reel of sellotape in your bag from now on. Fancy going out unprepared 😊
Your new dentist doesn’t sound as accessible as your old one, and I know you really liked him. Hopefully your new dentist is just as nice and helpful. But I supposed it’d be even better if you don’t have to go too often.
Nice that you got a bit of a trip out with the Rev, even though she’s not 100% at the moment. I presume once the house is finished it’ll be going back on the rental market?
It’s good that Bel has you to keep an eye out for her. It’s easy to miss phone calls, but you can never be sure everything is ok.
Not too much gardening today then. Although watering can be a task on its own.
It’s good you take so many pics. The beds do look a bit different six years ago. I wonder how many times you’ve hoed and dug them in that time? It’s like being sentenced to hard Labour 😂
I am sure Darren will come and do bits of the puzzles I get but that one was a great image and something he is interested in so he spent more time working on it.
ReplyDeleteYes, the house will be a rental again when it is finished.
Tina was good to physically show me the places I am going to, I can look things up and read maps but prefer to see places and get my bearings.
I don’t even want to think how many times or how many hours I have spent hoeing and digging in these gardens!
Bel has got good neighbours but they can’t be watching her all the time.
